How the News Influences Personal Beliefs |
Do you watch the news? Do you believe everything the news says? The news is important or recent event information given to the community by a reporter. The way the information is given causes a huge influence on people’s beliefs. The news should focus on the community needs and solutions in fixing the issues.

The news is information given by a reporter through the radio station, television, newspaper and social media. The reporters are trained to share the news information to the audience in an interesting manner to catch people’s attention. Did you know that 60% of the reports “FOX News Channel” broadcasted in 2015 were actually lies? This news channel beat CNN and MSNBC which are some of the many news channels we have. The truth is that news channels spreads fake facts. There has been several reports involving terrorism. These reports are not always true because they do not always involve terrorism but are tragedies that happen by accident or on purpose within our own community members. Some news channels don’t report stories right because they give their own perspective of the issue. This influences the audience to believe something that is not true and to be against other countries that most people don’t even know about. When a reporter gives their own point of view or changes the story to add interest in people, people listen and believe what they hear and untrue facts spread quickly throughout our communities.
These fake facts affect our big society and affect the beliefs of people. The news brainwashes people to make them actually think they’re telling the truth. This fake information causes negative affect especially on teenagers because they are more easily tricked then adults. Teenagers spend a lot of the day on the internet where they are able to connect to social media and get news information. Some examples of the negative effects are; people bullying each other by being racist, people blaming each other for terrorism, and people getting ideas on how to hurt others. People start believing these bad actions are ok to do and change the beliefs they have about being kind and respectful to one another.
The news should focus on the needs of the community and encourage for the community to think of solutions on how to fix the real issues like hunger and homelessness. There are a lot of needs our community has and the last thing we need is hatefulness against one another. They should stop reporting fake information. They should stop trying to get people mad at each other and encourage war between countries. Urging war is not safe and does not help our society. People should be encouraged by the media to be kind, respectful and try to help the people in need.
The news only wants people watching their broadcast for money, fame and popularity. The news reporters can lie to catch the audience attention in order to make more money. This is the reason we should not trust everything the news channels, radio stations, newspaper, and social media says. We should always research on our own what is really happening around us. We should not believe or get influenced by what others believe. We should stay loyal to our own beliefs if it is for the good of our society. We should help our society by helping our community in whatever their needs are instead of creating more issues. Let’s take action for ourselves and demand that media changes the way of reporting news!
